Our stay in the Daintree was short but wonderful. The accommodation was nestled in the forest and the swimming holes were easily accessible. The staff were friendly and the food good. We are already planning a longer stay.

Clean, simple, with fantastic breakfast, very accommodating hostess and excellent dinner recommendations!

Our stay at Grand Mercure Goa was unfortunately disappointing overall. The positives were: ? The location — serene, peaceful and very pleasant ? Spacious and clean room ? The restaurant, Mello, was sufficiently staffed during the breakfast buffet and offered a decent spread However, the hotel operations and service standards were far below expectations. Despite repeated attempts, we were unable to meet or even speak with the GM or manager in charge, who remained unavailable throughout our stay. It appeared that the property was being managed largely by junior staff, with very little supervision or accountability. The hotel also seemed severely short-staffed, with several fresh recruits or inadequately trained team members handling guest concerns. Housekeeping service was consistently poor and delayed. Basic necessities such as towels, napkins, and toiletries were often unavailable or delivered only after long waits or multiple follow-ups. One major concern was hygiene. Drinking water in the rooms was provided in refilled glass bottles that visibly contained dirt particles, which is highly unhygienic and unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Additionally, the bathroom drainage was faulty — water would not drain properly, leading to choking and a persistent foul smell in the bathroom. Overall, apart from the few positives, the stay experience was unsatisfactory and did not meet expected hospitality standards.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The property is in dire need of renovation. The bathroom tile is cracked, the tub doesn’t drain well, the shower temperature control is loose and very finicky, towels were small and cheap. The bed was ok, but pillows were old and lumpy, the sheet was so thin it was almost see-through, and I didn’t feel comfortable that the duvet was clean. The tv is fairly small given the size of the room and all of the bulbs were very dim. The AC and refrigerator were very loud. We stayed to attend graduation at Liberty University, so payed over $350 per night for a mediocre room.

the hotel was fine, but kitchen staff at 6:30am banking about outside didnt help waking up guests

Great place to stay with the smokey mountain view out our window. Easy access to town via the trolley, so there is not need to take your vehicle.
